Hexyon has been administered to 143 preterm infants (born after a gestational period of 24 to 36 weeks) who received a 2-dose primary series at 2 and 4 months of age followed by a booster dose at 11 months of age (concomitantly with other routine infant vaccines). The adverse reactions were similar among all groups of preterm infants, including the extremely preterm infants, and reactions were mainly of mild intensity. No vaccine-related case of apnoea was reported in preterm infants in the clinical trial (See section 4.4 for information on apnoea).
