Sensitive UGT1A9 substrates Coadministration of cannabidiol (7.5 mg/kg twice daily) with a single dose of mycophenolate mofetil (1500 mg) increased mycophenolic acid (a sensitive UGT1A9 substrate) exposure by 16% for Cmax and 35% for AUC. An increase in mycophenolic acid exposure by 9% for Cmax and 58% for AUC is predicted when mycophenolate mofetil (1500 mg) was coadministered with steady-state dosing of cannabidiol (12.5 mg/kg twice daily). Increases in concentration of UGT1A9 substrates may be observed when concomitantly used with cannabidiol. Consider a dose reduction of sensitive UGT1A9 substrates, such as mycophenolic acid, where even minor changes in concentration may lead to serious adverse reactions. Adjust dosing based on clinical judgement.
