The clinical results obtained so far do not indicate any interaction of NeoRecormon with other
medicinal products.
Animal experiments revealed that epoetin beta does not increase the myelotoxicity of cytostatic
medicinal products like etoposide, cisplatin, cyclophosphamide, and fluorouracil.

When combining topotecan with other chemotherapy agents, reduction of the doses of each medicinal
product may be required to improve tolerability. However, when combining with platinum agents,
there is a distinct sequence-dependent interaction depending on whether the platinum agent is given on
day 1 or 5 of the topotecan dosing. If either cisplatin or carboplatin is given on day 1 of the topotecan
dosing, a lower dose of each agent must be given to improve tolerability compared to the dose of each
agent which can be given if the platinum agent is given on day 5 of the topotecan dosing.

When topotecan (0.75 mg/m2/day for 5 consecutive days) and cisplatin (60 mg/m2/day on day 1) were
administered in 13 patients with ovarian cancer, a slight increase in AUC (12%, n = 9) and Cmax (23%,
n = 11) was noted on day 5. This increase is considered unlikely to be of clinical relevance.

Data from study JP16003, a single-arm study of Herceptin (4 mg/kg IV loading dose and 2 mg/kg IV
weekly) and docetaxel (60 mg/m2 IV) in Japanese women with HER2- positive MBC, suggested that
concomitant administration of Herceptin had no effect on the single dose pharmacokinetics of
docetaxel. Study JP19959 was a substudy of BO18255 (ToGA) performed in male and female
Japanese patients with advanced gastric cancer to study the pharmacokinetics of capecitabine and
cisplatin when used with or without Herceptin. The results of this substudy suggested that the
exposure to the bioactive metabolites (e.g. 5-FU) of capecitabine was not affected by concurrent use of
cisplatin or by concurrent use of cisplatin plus Herceptin. However, capecitabine itself showed higher
concentrations and a longer half-life when combined with Herceptin. The data also suggested that the
pharmacokinetics of cisplatin were not affected by concurrent use of capecitabine or by concurrent use
of capecitabine plus Herceptin.

that are inhibitors of this active renal elimination pathway or are eliminated by this pathway, such as
cimetidine, amantadine mexiletine, zidovudine, cisplatin, quinine, and procainamide, may interact
with pramipexole resulting in reduced clearance of pramipexole. Reduction of the pramipexole dose
should be considered when these medicinal products are administered concomitantly with
Pramipexole Teva.

Inhibitors/competitors of active renal elimination pathway
Cimetidine reduced the renal clearance of pramipexole by approximately 34%, presumably by
inhibition of the cationic secretory transport system of the renal tubules. Therefore, medicinal products
that are inhibitors of this active renal elimination pathway or are eliminated by this pathway, such as
cimetidine, amantadine mexiletine, zidovudine, cisplatin, quinine, and procainamide, may interact with
pramipexole resulting in reduced clearance of pramipexole. Reduction of the pramipexole dose should

In vitro studies showed that vinflunine is a Pgp-substrate like other vinca alkaloids, but with a lower
affinity. Therefore, risks of clinically significant interactions should be unlikely.
No pharmacokinetic interaction was observed in patients when vinflunine was combined with either
cisplatin, carboplatin, capecitabine or gemcitabine.
No pharmacokinetic interaction was observed in patients when vinflunine was combined with
doxorubicin. However, this combination was associated with a particularly high risk of haematological
toxicity.
